The NCP Saturday Showcase is a feature story that recognizes students, staff and alumni for their exceptional achievements and contributions to the school community. This week, we have the pleasure of recognizing Turkey Run High School and Rockville High School alumni.
The Rockville High School and Turkey Run High School alumni are the backbone of North Central Parke Schools Corporation. Their enduring legacy and heritage enrich the community, offering inspiration and support to current students, staff, and the wider community. Over the past two weekends, these alumni groups gathered to celebrate their accomplishments and reflect on the cherished memories that fill the hallways of our schools.
For the Rockville alumni, the Classes of 1975 and 1985 were honored, celebrating their journeys and achievements since graduation. Special recognition was given to members of the 1969 track team, who won the Wabash River Conference championship, marking a significant milestone in the school's athletic history. Additionally, Parke Heritage High School office ladies, Carole Sturmer and Terri Veach, were acknowledged for their dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the high school community.
The Turkey Run alumni association hosted a memorable event honoring the Classes of 1965, 1970, and 1975. The celebration was enriched by the presence of several Celebrity Guests—current and former Turkey Run teachers—who have left a lasting impact on the students and the institution. Among those recognized was Ward Fritzen, a former band director and principal, whose contributions to the school were celebrated with heartfelt gratitude.
