Entrepreneurship students at Parke Heritage High School took a field trip to Covered Dogs Headquarters in Rockville.
Gary and Mrs. Susan Smith showed the students their industrial kitchen where they were able to help make gingersnap cookies and talked more with them about being entrepreneurs.
Attending the trip were Abby Tapy and Brynlee Reitsma. The class is taught by Mrs. Morgan Cooper.
Parke Heritage High School students are nominated by staff members to receive the Wolf Award. Basis for this award include integrity, responsibility, communication, collaboration, reliability, creativity, 21st Century skills, accountability, and good character.
Haileigh Antrim (left)- “Haileigh has been great to have in Ceramics class. She is always upbeat, pushes herself with her art work and is willing to help out other students when they are struggling. I see great things in her future.”
Jackson Jenkins (middle left)- “Jackson collaborates well with classmates, is very attentive in class, and very engaged in class discussion when we are covering content. He is a pleasure to have in chemistry class.”
Justin Cooper (middle right)- “As some of his peers are itching to finish out the year and motivation is dropping, Justin is holding strong. He completes every project assigned to him with vigor and accuracy, and does so with a good attitude. Justin also wears a smile to class each day and can work with any student in the room. He maintains good grades and turns in assignments on time, and I look forward to what he will accomplish the remainder of the year!”
Treyton Burgess (right)- “Treyton has had a fantastic work ethic all year long. He has come in for help when needed and he not only wants to know what the answer is, but how to get to the answer. He is pleasant in class and always helpful.”
“Treyton works very hard, taking the hardest classes in the school, to prepare himself for his future. He is very good at advocating for himself and getting help when he needs it.”
